Konaya

At Konaya, you have two bedrooms, including the master bedroom, upstairs and the third bedroom is located downstairs with a doorway that leads directly outdoors to the forest. The bedrooms are designed with care featuring comfortable double or twin beds, minimal décor, heating, and lounge chairs. The windows offer pleasant forest views, a treat when the landscape is dominated by freshly-fallen snow. The master bedroom features an ensuite with a bathtub and the other bedrooms have separate bathrooms with showers. The two upstairs bedrooms are found in the front part of the chalet for plentiful views. These cozy bedroom features are perfect for a good night’s sleep after a long tiring day.

The forest is in your backyard at Konaya with tall trees dotting the landscape beyond which you catch a clear view of the snow-capped Mount Yotei. This stunning panorama is best enjoyed from your private terrace that is ideal on a sunny winter afternoon with a cup of tea and light appetizers. Enjoy a quiet moment in nature with your loved ones as you breathe in the fresh mountain air. If you are traveling with kids, they will have a ball playing in the snow so readily available right at your doorstep. Yotei Village has many hot springs as well, a good soak in the hot water will do a world of good to ease all your worries.

Konaya is a special property designed in true Japanese style with interiors that are integrated. You have the option to separate the first floor from the second or use them as a duplex. From the genkan, a Japanese-style entrance/porch, you can easily make your way upstairs where you have a spacious living and dining area with a fully-equipped kitchen including a Nespresso machine and oven. With a modern gas fireplace and wide glass walls allowing uninterrupted views, this brightly-lit and comfortable room is nirvana for the tired traveler.

Downstairs as well you have an open-plan setup with a bedroom, kitchenette including a kettle, refrigerator, and toaster, and dining area. Each of these floors can be employed individually or as a combined three-bedroom chalet. The interiors are strikingly traditional with a modern twist featuring clean wooden furniture, pristine walls, glass walls and large windows for natural light, and temperature control.

With fully-equipped kitchens, undercover parking for two vehicles, and two fully-equipped laundry and drying areas, Konaya is the ideal home away from home. You have complete privacy and you may roam around as you would in your own house. Prepare your favourite meals, enjoy a late-night conversation with friends and family, and more without disturbance. A complimentary winter shuttle runs from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm for ease of carrying your ski gear.
